FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
H'it'! Pilot screens on Street Vision
H'it'!
the independent reality series to be produced by international
award-winning creative Brett Clements will commence
an innovative pilot campaign using the underground
advertising medium Street Vision. In the lead up to
the final series castings, H'it'! will begin broadcasting
on Monday 29th September to the public selected segments
of the H'it'! series pilot.
"Street
Vision is the perfect launch pad for the H'it'! tv
series as it is a powerful medium with the ability
to communicate to the elusive youth demographic."
Clements announced. "No one has thought to use
this broadcast medium in this way but I believe it
offers us the ability to retain creative independence
through a unique and entirely suitable communication
alternative to reach the hard to get 18-25 year olds."
H'it'! is a reality television series designed to
unearth the next wave of media and entertainment makers
by trashing the old showbiz adage "its not what
you know, its who you know." Not anymore. All
you need is your 'imagination'.
Street
Vision's Mark Fishwick said "H'it'! tv will have
access to run 45/60 second hit-bits on 43 Street Vision
screens in 10 Sydney railway stations reaching an
estimated 2.26 million commuters each week."
Currently Sydney is the only city in the world with
such an extensive on-platform medium however screens
are being erected in Melbourne. Street Vision is a
$25 million dollar urban network capable of getting
a message to air in 18 minutes. The hit-bits will
run between trains on the platforms leveraging this
new medium to a captive audience.
The
objective of the 16 x 1-hour series is to find 12
creative types, aged from 18 to 39, and bring them
all together for a 6-week crash course in show-business
which culminates in them producing three new TV shows
to sell to the world. Ideally every State and Territory
in Australia will be represented in the top 12.
To
enter H'it'!, applicants will need to produce a 60-second
'ad' on themselves. The best ads will be circulated
to a panel of entertainment industry icons for comment,
followed by interviews held in every capital city
to select the final 12. Full entry details and the
Application Form are available from www.hittv.tv
Applications close October 31, 2003.
